Château Deyrem Valentin

Tradition and innovation

An estate, a family, a unique history

There are places where wine is the lifeblood. The Château Deyrem-Valentin in Margaux is such a place. The home of great vintages classed as “Grands crus”, this estate dates back to 1730. Just like his great grandfather, his grandfather and his father, the current owner Jean Sorge carries on the tradition in total intimacy with Sylvie and Christelle, his two daughters. With the terroir, the vines and the storehouse, they combine tradition and innovation to offer the very best quality to lovers of wine of the Margaux variety.

Our story

Our wine

The result of lots of care

Château Deyrem Valentin comes with a delicately fleshy and suave mouthfeel and has an elegant structure with fruity and floral aromas. Château Soussans, its elegant and subtle younger brother, has a soft tannin. Château Valentin, distinguished by its fruity tones, is silky and pleasant.

Every step towards a great vintage

Outstanding work on a family estate

Jean Sorge has known for a long time that to make a great wine, he needs to take the greatest care of his vines and in the upkeep of his vineyard, with traditional double guyot pruning, companion planting and the choice of grape variety and rootstock.

For winemaking, the requirements are the same - plots harvested by hand and vinified separately, concrete vats equipped with automatic thermo-regulation, maturation in barrels with 30% new wood (exclusively French oak) from 12 to 15 months (depending on the vintage) in a cool storehouse.
